Stanley soaks up some Florida Sun

Flat Stanley arrived in Palm Coast, Florida. He visited the Greek Festival and made a donation. He visited a museum called "Ripley's Believe it or Not." He visited a white-sand beach and soaked up the sun. Palm Coast is community on the ocean. Flat Stanley had the opportunity to visit the Daytona 500 Speedway. Where will he go next!?

Flat Stanley has arrived in the United Kingdom!

Flat Stanley let us know that the United Kingdom is made up of Northern Ireland, Scotland, England and Wales. Flat Stanley visited Stonehenge. It is a group of stone monuments standing in a ring shape. Some of the stones are 13ft high and weight up to 25 tons.

Flat Stanley has arrived in Abu Dhabi!

We have got word that Flat Stanley has arrived in Abu Dhabi with our friend Nick! We used Google Earth to find out  where Abu Dhabi is and how far away from GSB Stanley traveled! Here are a few photos of his most recent adventures with Nick!

Flat Stanley went to train with me at TrainYAS by Daman’s ActiveLife in Abu Dhabi, UAE last night.

Flat Stanley also got to go for a bike ride on Yas Island.

Ready for pick up!

Flat Stanley has started his adventure. Student's brought their Flat Stanley packages to Mrs. Brown at the front office. She will put postage on them and the mailman will pick them up today!

Flat Stanley is almost ready to set sail!

Our first graders are working hard to get their Flat Stanley's ready for their first adventure!  He will be setting sail soon. Please remember addresses are due back on Monday, September 18th. Each student should bring in two addresses of a friend or family member that lives in another state or country. Please make sure that the friend or family member is interested in participating before sending their address in. They will be responsible for taking Flat Stanley on an adventure, sending us photographs and other artifacts from his adventure and mailing him on to his next adventure!

Our blog will serve as Flat Stanley's diary. We are so excited to see all of the places that Stanley will be visiting! His generous host families will share their adventures and what he has learned about their community on his many journeys.
